A REVIEW ARTICLE ON CURRENT PHARMACOLOGICAL STATUS OF CARDIOPROTECTIVE PLANT

Cardiovascular diseases involve abnormalities of the heart and blood vessels, such as coronary disease, hypertension, cerebrovascular are main cause increase in mortality rate world. Herbal plants tend to be very useful prevent cardiovascular disease. The phytoconstituents herbal medicinal like tannins, alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, glycosides that have ability diseases. Examples Nerium oleander, Amaranthus viridis, Ginkgo biloba, Daucus carota, Gingerol, Tinospora cordifolia etc. Many studies investigated cardioprotective effect these natural products against experimentally-induced myocardial damage, their results revealed potential phytochemicals exhibited significant antioxidant, anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerotic activities. review highlights promising mechanisms probable applications various plants, prevention treatment contain a wide- variety bioactive compound with diosgenin, isoflavones, sulforaphane, carotinized, catechin quercetin increasing cardio protection decreases chances cardiac abnormalities.
